As of the 2000 Census, Satellite Beach had 3,952 occupied housing units - 3,300 (83.50 percent) owner occupied and 652 (16.50 percent) renter occupied. Point six zero percent (0.60%) of the households did not have telephone service and 2.50 percent of the households did not have access to a car, truck, or van for private use. Multi-Vehicle households were not rare; 60.96 percent had two vehicles and another 15.80 percent had three or more.
