Alateen is part of Al-Anon, which helps families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Alateen is a recovery program for young people. Alateen groups are sponsored by Al-Anon members.

The Alateen group for 13-19 year-olds meets every Thursday at 7:30 PM in 2nd floor of the Day Care Building.

The Merritt Island AFG and Young Hearts Alateen group for 8-12 year-olds meet at the same time and place.

The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve their common problems.

The Merritt Island Al-Anon Family Group Literature/Program Discussion group meets every Thursday at 7:30 PM in 2nd floor of the Day Care Building.  This is a "Closed" group for members and perspective members only.
