Wickham Park Campground

This 391.04 acre park features a variety of recreational opportunities. A 1.5 mile drive suitable for jogging and cycling winds through the park's open areas, pine woods, and lakes.  With campgrounds secluded in a woodsy area at the center of the park, campers have easy access to community events activities often scheduled at the amphitheatre, in open areas at the south end of the park, and at the large pavilion at the north end of the park. Additionally, campers and visitors enjoy the two seasonally guarded swimming lakes, three small fishing lakes, an 18-hole disc golf course, archery range, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, dog park, and playground, as well as multipurpose and soccer fields. A .25 mile stationed exercise trail, 2,000 feet of nature trails, and horse trails invite exploration, with a horse stable and show ring for rental by equestrians.

The park office/visitors reception facility, a small community center, and a xeriscape garden are near the park entrance, with picnic tables and eight pavilions located throughout the park. The large event pavilion on the north side of the campgrounds and adjacent to the community college features a banquet kitchen and seating capacity for up to 1,500 people.

Wickham Park is a perfect base for families to enjoy not only the park, but to venture out to nearby Atlantic Ocean beaches, local restaurants, theaters, historic villages, nature preserves, golf courses, other County parks, and attractions for all ages in Melbourne and the surrounding area.
