As of the 2000 Census, Cocoa Beach had 6,529 occupied housing units - 4,748 (72.70 percent) owner occupied and 1,781 (27.30 percent) renter occupied. Multi-Vehicle households were not rare; 41.87 percent had two vehicles and another 9.00 percent had three or more.
