Barefoot Bay is an unincorporated community and Recreation District in Brevard County as adopted in their Charter of February, 1984. It is located in the southern part of the county, along the Atlantic coast.
Barefoot Bay is a deed restricted community of manufactured homes, without age limits. The homeowner owns both the land and home which is usually not the case with manufactured home communities. Located on the east coast between Vero Beach and Melbourne, the community was founded over thirty years ago and covers approximately 1,500 acres. Almost 10,000 residents call Barefoot Bay home! Well-maintained lawns and homes reflect Barefoot Bay’s sense of pride, security and stability. Barefoot Bay seems to have that Small Town, USA feel — with churches, shopping, dining and recreation facilities as well as a true “neighborhood” feel where you can be sure to meet good friends.
